Staff with the Health Care District’s C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinics and Managed Care Programs participated in the Total Health Expo 2015 at the South Florida Fairgrounds Sunday, March 1, 2015.
Staff with the Brumback Clinics’ provided more than 90 attendees with health screenings for blood pressure, glucose and BMI. A few of the screenings identified the need for follow-up care. Clinics’ staff also scheduled primary care appointments for many of those who participated in the screenings.
The day-long health fair helped raise awareness about the health care services available to adults and children at the Brumback Clinics’ sites in West Palm Beach, Delray Beach, Lantana and Belle Glade. Also at the event, staff members with the Health Care District’s Coordinated Care Program provided information and applications to attendees who are uninsured and do not qualify for other state and federal programs.
The goal of the event was “…to provide attendees and their families with the information and means of achieving a healthier lifestyle that will result in improved quality of life.”
